Algeria Jan 27th- Dr. Mohamed Laksaci, Governor of Bank of Algeria and Dr. Jihad Al Wazir Governor of PMA have signed a memorandum of agreement aimed to strengthening the mutual relations and exchange of experiences in several fields of common interest, in particular the banking supervision and credit registry which will develop the financial and banking business in Palestine and Algeria. The MOA will also strengthen the technical relations by exchange of experiences between Palestine Banking Institute and High Banking School of Algeria
Dr. Al Wazir and the accompanying delegation have visited the mint in the Central Bank of Algeria the place where the Algerian dinar has been minting for more than fifty years. Dr. Al Wazir met with its General Manger, the administrative and technical staff who gave detailed explanation about the work.
During the closing meeting; Governor of the Bank of Algeria welcomed the cooperation with the Palestine Monetary Authority and the exchange of experiences, and he stressed on the bank readiness to cooperate with PMA in the various fields. From his side Dr. Al Wazir thanked the Governor and the central bank of Algeria's team for their hospitality and he confirmed that this cooperation between the two countries will achieve the aimed goals.
The MOA took place to crown the historical relationships and strengthening the cooperation between the two countries, in particular at the banking and financial levels.
